REPORTING ABOUT JATARAS :
YEDUPAYALA VANADURGA JATARA :-
It is located in the Medak District of the Papannapet Mandal. There Folk diety named as Vanadugamma Thalli , here the River Manjeera splits into Seven branches so that name called as the yedupayala in telugu "Yedu" meaning - Seven and "Payala" means -the river dividing into branches. Here the people worship supernatural god protecting them from all the evils in the forest. The people used to call the god as Vanadurgamma Thalli - The Forest & People protecting God".
This is the one of the reason for celebrating the Jatara and performing the rituals at that moment. In the olden days their ancestors used to pray the god by sacrificing with animals.(Baliness in Hinduism)
BONALA JATARA :-
This is the jatara mostly performed by the Eastern , western , Northern and Middle districts of the Telangana state people. Especially in the Hyderabad District it most famous ritual. The people prepare the food for the god in the earthen pot. Here we should observe that they keep the pot on the head and one more pot over the pot . On the top of the pot they lit the oil diya. They move from their colony by dancing , playing , singing and beating the drum and making the sound with joy and happiness. The special attraction of the jatara are "Potharaju". They dance accordance of the drum beat.
The pots are very beautifully designed with the colors and arranged in the manner of bottom bigger part ,upon that small pot and very small pot put together and top of the pot they keep oil diya.they keep the neem leaves around the neck of the pot. Inside of the pots they rice and other dish which are raw. While moved to the temple it becomes cooked as they lit the oil diya on the top. Due to the heat of that it will be cooked.
The special attraction of the BONALU is potharaju. His body with full of colored as yellow by applying turmeric. And he holds the thread in the both hands and play according to the drum beating sound.
ASSUMPTION STORY ABOUT THE FOLK DEITIES :-
Ramanna is the name of the person who cut the trees and selling the firewood in the near by the village of the kingdom.There was a king ruling the kingdom which Ramanna selling the firewood in that village. The gate keeper used to collect the money from the Rmanna, then only he allowed inside of the village kingdom.
The king had three beautiful daughters. One day king asked his daughter as fallows :
King to 1st Daughter : Who is the Great your Mother or I am?.
1st Daughter : You are the great father..
King : Why?
1st Daughter : Because of you are the king for the people.
King to 2nd Daughter : What is your opinion on the greatness ?
2nd Daughter : Father ! To me mother is the great.
King : He laughed at seeing the wife.
King to 3rd Daughter : What would you say my heart?
3rd Daughter : Not you !! Not Mother!!! The God is the head for everything So, He is the great.
King got angry about her daughter and he said to the Manri- Take My 3rd Daughter and leave in the forest.
According to the rules of the kingdom everyone should obey the King words. She left alone in the forest and they came back. Ramanna went to cut the trees to sell the wood. He after heard the sound of cry from the back side of the big tree.
He reached near her and asked the queen - what happen and who are you? Then she replied that everything that had happen before. He helped by taking her to the home where he was living. The days has been passing the Ramanna selling the firewood in village. After some days she told the Ramanna to keep the firewood at a place and the people let buy from the place. After that people are thought that Katte Ramanna was not coming to sell the firewood. One after one they known as he kept a shop out side of the village. The people in the village coming and buying from that place. He earned much more money than before.
The gate keeper informed about the Ramanna that he not coming to sell the firewood in our kingdom and placed a shop for that and selling there. Now the King decided to call the Ramanna and gave the work of Irrigating the 100 acres of the Mango garden over the night. If you failed to irrigate the gareden your head will be cut off.
Then Ramanna returned to the home and said to the queen and that he has to irrigate the 100 acres of the garden. He worried about that because over the night it won't be possible to be irrigated. Definitely King will cut off my head. The Queen and Ramanna went to the garden and Queen prayed the Full Moon that has to be helped. The Full Moon Helped to irrigate the garden. Every plant getting the water in the 100 acres of land.
The next day morning King visited the garden and shocked, He was thinking how would be done!! Then another day again King called the Ramanna and Ordered that yoyu should Irrigate the garden of the lemon which is 200 acres again same over the night. The same thing had happen the but a change now the New moon done that thing.
After some days the king lost the kingdom and they faced the drought situation. They not able to feed themselves. Katte Ramanna Invites all the village people to the dinner. As the kings family also come to the dinner. While dinning time Queen recognize her father.
After they cried by the situations and he realized that god is the greater than us....
